Two Publications to Aid Decisions about Solar Energy and Installations

— Written By

We have two new publications available through NC State Extension to help landowners, lawmakers, the media, and citizens to make more informed decisions about solar energy policy and installations in agricultural areas of the state. Both publications draw on research and evidenced based literature from around the world to provide the most accurate and unbiased information currently available on two very important topics: “Balancing Solar and Ag” and “Health and Safety Impacts of Solar Photovoltaics.” Many College of Agriculture and Life Sciences faculty and other agriculture professionals were provided opportunities for input and review to ensure factual information was being presented. We hope you find them beneficial in developing your programs, articles, plans, and policies.
