Research on sesame as an alternative crop has indicated that it may have promise as a rotational crop in North Carolina. The best approach for a new rotation is to find out as much as possible about the alternative crop before it’s planted. NC State research and extension scientists in the College of Ag and Life Sciences and the NCDA&CS research station personnel will be hosting and presenting information regarding sesame production on the following dates:

1) Piedmont Research Station, Salisbury NC: Tuesday, September 20

2) Sandhills Research Station, Jackson Springs NC: Wednesday, September 21

Be sure to visit the websites and register through Eventbrite prior to the tour.
